Disneyland paris. . .Here I come!!! ☺

I can’t believe that the first half of the Holland tour is over! Wow, it went by so quick. I mean, really, really, really, really quick. Granted, I spent most of my time either at load-in, load-out, doing shows, or fixing something. I think that I actually had 3 days off. Two of them being holidays (Christmas and New Year’s Day). That was soooo nice of them to give us a day off besides the holidays. Thanks Vince!
Well, after we let everything dry for a few hours. . .well, ok, maybe just a few minutes. . .we were done with the first part of the Netherlands. I packed up all my stuff and headed to Disneyland Paris. But of course nothing could be that easy you know. After I figure out what train I’m on, I get on and head to Brussels, Belgium. I’m suppose to switch trains there to get on a “high-speed” train to Marne-le-Vallee (aka Disneyland Paris). Of course the train in front of the one that I’m on is having technical difficulties, so my train is delayed and I miss my fast train by 20 minutes. I then go to the ticket office to find out when the next one is. Oh, It’s only 6 hours away!!!!! WHAT!!! Well, the lady told me to hold on (saying this with a THICK French accent), and she wrote a note on the back of a blank ticket so that I might be able to get on a different train that will still take me to where I need to go. It’s kind of a like a note from your Mom for missing school, or for having a doctor’s appointment. She said that I would have to show the conductor and that he may or may not let me on the train. MAY OR MAY NOT? What kind of a crazy train system do they have? I mean, there is no way that someone could write a note on the back of a plane ticket to hopefully get us on the flight that we wanted. Well, needless to say. . .it worked! The guy was very nice and even told me where I could sit.
I got on the train, and the train was virtually empty! No wonder he let me on! There was one other person in the car that I was in. I remember taking this same train a few years ago, and it was PACKED! You HAD to have a reservation to get on. Now, they’ll take anyone with a note from their Mom I guess
I get to Marne-le-Vallee, and catch my bus to my hotel. This place was cute. It looked like a little Western Movie town. Check in wasn’t until 3 pm, but I could register at the front desk, they would take my bags, and I could get my park tickets and be on my way. Well, when I talked to the guy, he said that my room was ready! Wow, it was noon, and the room was ready! I was stoked! I started to fill out my registration card and the guy started getting excited. Why you ask? Because I was the first American that he had ever checked in! I’m glad that I could be his first! wink, wink I started to roll my bags to my room, and realized that the treatment that they did to the concrete to make it look like dirt made it really hard to roll suitcases on. Not only that, but I have 4 of them! I was a little aggravated when I got to my room, but I didn’t care because I was going to WALT DISNEY STUDIOS!!!!!!
